The journey combines varied landscapes, wide-ranging mountain views and tented accommodation supported by an experienced local mountain crew.
The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, close to the Kenyan border, and is known for being one of the mountain’s less frequently travelled routes.
During the trek, guests stay in tents. The tents are included and are set up by the porter team. Meals are served in a dedicated dining tent.
For the summit approach, the Rongai Route connects with the Marangu Route. The descent follows the southeastern side of the mountain, allowing travellers to experience Kilimanjaro from several different perspectives.
